Vanishing-Edge Koi Pond
Designed and installed by Laughing Waters Inc, serving the Chicagoland area

The owners of this Hinsdale backyard were in desperate need of a overhaul. Their yard previously had an outdated pond and landscape that became an eyesore over the years on the large, mature property. The team at Laughing Waters Inc. completely demolished the old landscape and brought in beautiful, natural boulders that complement the surroundings. They also installed a new, specially designed koi pond that features high-end filtration and a complete life-support system, set next to an antique-paver patio featuring moss outlining each paver. The home's kitchen now looks out over the vanishing-edge pond, which falls into a pondless-waterfall system. The new design allows the owners to walk across part of the pond on stepping stones, stroll down a natural-stone staircase and enjoy the beauty of the pondless waterfall.
